About merge pdf
Merge PDF combines several documents into a single file, in the order you set. Use it when a form asks for one document but you have scanned pages separately, when an application needs a document and its supporting evidence in one attachment, or when you want to collect several receipts into one expense claim.
Order matters and is entirely up to you. The panel lets you drag files into position, and within each file the pages stay in their original order. That matters for anything sequential, such as a signed contract where the signature page must come last, or a set of bank statements that need to read chronologically.
One practical caution: scanning at 300 DPI and merging in the right order will produce a file large enough for most upload limits, but combining ten 20-page scans can still exceed them. If that happens, run the merged file through the PDF compressor afterwards, which handles exactly this situation well since the content is mostly page images.
Frequently asked questions
Can I reorder the files after adding them?
Yes, drag them in the list. Whatever order you leave them in becomes the order of the merged document, and pages within each individual file always stay in their original sequence.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. The pages are copied across without being recompressed, so the output is visually identical to the inputs. This is why a large merged file can then be reduced with the PDF compressor if it needs to be.
Is there a page limit?
Practical limits come from your device memory while the combined document is held in memory. A few hundred pages is usually fine on a desktop; very large merges are better done on a computer than a phone.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password from each file first, then merge, then protect the result afterwards if you need to.
Will my merged file be too large to upload?
Possibly, if you combined many scanned documents. Compress the result afterwards, which is effective precisely because scanned pages are mostly images and compress well.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The merge happens in your browser, so the documents never leave your device.
